On the occasion of the Klimt year 2012 there are two exhibition openings in February: Klimt´s key paintings which set the stylistic tone for his world-famous work from about 1900 onwards are in the center of the show "Gustav Klimt at the Kunsthistorisches Museum". With "Klimt: Up Close and Personal. Images, Letters, Insights" the Leopold Museum focuses on the artist´s numerous travels and the fact that he incorporated the impressions during his travels into his paintings.
