The intense rhythm show STOMP will be stimulating eyes and ears as of 31 January. The stage performance, which began at the start of the 90s with hands, feet and a few brooms, is positively drenched with energy.

In 2012, Vienna will once again experience its share of stomping.

Over 15 million people have already been transported into fantastic worlds of sound by the high art of finger-snapping, broom-swinging and trash-can-pounding.

The show itself never stands still: it hops, jumps, slides and hammers its way through an ever-changing landscape of sound.

STOMP is loud, STOMP is quiet, STOMP is "as crisp and exuberant as if it had opened yesterday," according to the New York Times.

Most recently, the STOMP masterminds have choreographed a phenomenal noise kung fu performance and have added new instruments: gigantic truck inner tubes, recycling containers and wonderfully clanking paint cans. The STOMP universe also includes an Oscar-nominated short film, movie projects, unmistakable soundtracks and the symphonic stage composition "Pandemonium".
