It’s nearly time for the Easter holidays and the start of the main holiday season.

To make sure that families, in particular, can get their holidays off to a relaxed start, Germany’s second largest airline offers all kinds of services to make an airberlin flight even easier: by using the web check-in via the Internet, the mobile website or the smartphone app, you can minimise waiting times and get your holiday off to a smooth start. airberlin guests can check in online, via the mobile website or the smartphone app from 30 hours up to 45 minutes before departure. Then all you have to do is hand in your luggage at the Baggage Drop-off counter at the airport.

To make sure that the whole family can sit together, seat reservations are free for families flying with airberlin. For infants under the age of 2 years, a free baggage allowance of 23 kg is included, regardless of the service class, because, after all, they can’t manage without their favourite toys on holiday. Children aged between 2 and 11 years have the same baggage allowances as adults.

With airberlin, buggies, prams, car-seats and travel cots for children below the age of twelve are carried with no extra charge. All you have to do is let us know up to 48 hours before your flight. Baby food can also be brought on board. The crew will be happy to help parents to heat up the jars. On medium- and long-haul flights, special children’s menus can be ordered in advance.

Also on medium- and long-haul flights, the flight attendants have a pack containing spare nappies, a bottle and bibs available to ensure that our youngest guests are also very well looked after. Most of the washrooms on board have a changing table. Children under the age of two years fly free of charge on all German domestic airberlin flights. And to make sure they don’t get bored during the flight, Germany’s second largest airline has a selection of children’s toys available on every flight.
