Rovinj Hotel Monte Mulini prepares another musical delight for all guests and visitors. On Sunday, 11 July 2010 at 9 p.m., Trio "Chordes" brings us the Evening of ballads, serenades and romances, performing the works of Schubert, Verdi, Ponce and many others.


From their establishment in 2001, the Trio "Chordes" has participated in many cultural manifestations in Croatia, and it consists of Kristina Beck-Kukavcic (mezzo-soprano), Kresimir Marmilic (violin) and Biserka Krcelic (harp). In addition to classical repertoire, a special attention is given to performance of the works of Croatian composers.

Kristina Beck-Kukavcic has graduated from the Academy of Music in Ljubljana within the class of Prof. E. Novsak-Houska and obtained an M.A. degree at the Academy of Music in Zagreb. She was a woman soloist in the Croatian National Theatre in Rijeka and Osijek. She performs as a soloist and in chamber orchestras in Croatia and abroad, and she is a full professor-advisor of solo singing in the Music School "Vatroslav Lisinski" in Zagreb.

Kresimir Marmilic has graduated from the Academy of Music in Zagreb within the class of Prof. K. Petrovic and Prof. T. Smirnov. For a shorter period he received advance training by Prof. Henryk Kowalski at the Indiana University. As a soloist, he has performed in Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Switzerland, Germany and Spain. He manages and is the founder of the ensemble "Cadenza" 1995 (string quartet and trio).

Biserka Krcelic has graduated from the Academy of Music in Zagreb, and obtained an M.A. degree at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Graz within the class of Prof. A. E. Clark. She performs as a soloist and in various chamber orchestras in Croatia and abroad. She collaborates with all Zagreb orchestras and she was a member of symphony orchestras in Graz and Vienna. She is a full professor of harp in the Music School "Vatroslav Lisinski" in Zagreb.
