On July 22 the Park hotel will host a concert by the City of Hull Youth Symphony Orchestra. The audience will have a chance to enjoy works of the great classical repertoire
such as Antonin Dvorak, George Bizet and Elmer Bernstein, but also creative arrangements of classical pieces authored by famous musicians like Elton John.
Maestro Christopher Maynard will conduct the orchestra as he is one of the most prominent members of the Hull Music Centre whose long and rich career afforded him many chances to work with numerous world-renowned soloists like Julian Lloyd Webber, Anya Alexeyeva, Alma Petchersky and others.
The City of Hull Youth Symphony Orchestra is an orchestra of talented young musicians who always deliver a masterful performance of classical music pieces thanks to systematic education provided by the Hull Music Service - an organization providing music support and instrumental tuition to over one hundred schools and colleges in England. The Music Service offers scholarships and vocal, guitar and keyboard lessons, and recently the list has been expanded so now young musicians can enjoy playing traditional instruments from different continents, e.g. a set of African drums, Brazilian Samba percussion instruments and West Indian steel pans, as well.
The concert starts at 21 o''clock.
