World Green Energy Symposium is adding Eco-Tourism to it’s 2010 mix and looking for participation. The 2010 World Green Energy Symposium will be held this Oct in Phila, Pa. and this year they want to add eco-tourism to their mix.
They are looking for tourism related exhibitors and sponsors and possibly speakers . BTP is a Sponsor of the event and having a relationship with several Tourism Authorities we were asked to spread the word so if there is an interest please contact me.
Destinations that market to the eco traveler, resorts, attractions or tour operators specializing in this area, this is an opportunity to present your product / services to multiple markets. Meet the representatives of Gov agencies and large international corporations that offer an opportunity for group meeting business. On Sat exhibits are open to the public adding the leisure market.
Equally if not more important, if you are looking at developing a sustainable infrastructure, major developments or refitting an existing property, etc. this is a good place to find the resources and meet face to face with industry leaders, developers and venture capitalists specializing in sustainable development . Conversely if your destination is a leader or frontrunner in an area of energy & sustainability, perhaps you could be a part of the information exchange and offer your knowledge to other destinations looking to move in similar directions.
The symposium is a 2 day event—day 1 consisting of workshops / classes for the exchange of information lead by government agencies, developers, corporations and academic fields and exhibitors representing a variety of products and services. Day 2 is open free to the public with exhibits and seminars aimed at the consumer.
The Symposium is not yet sure of what all they will be doing for the eco-tourism aspect but they are planning discussions and video presentations to go along with the exhibits.
