Maistra''s Hotel Lone appeared in yesterdays print edition of one of the most prominent US newspaper The New York Times, in article titeled New Design on Croatia Coast.
The print edition of The New York Times is sold in more than one million copies a day and millions of Internet users visit its website each month.
Adam H. Graham, the author of the article who visited Hotel Lone this year in June, pointed out: In July a new reason to visit the region emerged, when the Hotel Lone opened. The stark, white establishment is just one of a handful of notable structures along the Istrian coast that offer visitors a window into the next generation of Croatian architectureâ.
Besides Hotel Lone, Graham suggests the readers to visit the Lapidarium Museum in Novigrad and the DuĹĄan DĹžamonja Sculpture Park in Vrsar.

Hotel Lone was opened this year on 24 June as the first five star design hotel in Croatia. The amount of 339 million Croatian Kunas was invested in the construction of the hotel, which makes it one of the largest greenfield investments in Croatian tourism in the past few years.
From its architecture to interior and exterior design, Hotel Lone has the Croatian designers'' signature. Some of the leading Croatian designers from the architectural studio 3LHD worked on the realization of the hotel. The interior decoration and the visual identity of the hotel are a result of cooperation between young Croatian designers and artists: the group of product designers Numen/For Use, architectural studio 92, fashion designers from I-gle studio, conceptual artists Ivana Franke and Silvio VujiÄiÄ, Bruketa&Ĺ˝iniÄ agency and others.
Hotel Lone is situated in the immediate vicinity of the sea, surrounded by centuries-old Mediterranean park forest Zlatni Rt, only a few minutes'' walk from the centre of Rovinj. The hotel has 248 spacious and modern accomodation units with seaview: 236 rooms, 11 suites and a 129 m2 presidential suite. The guests can also use two fine dining restaurants, Sea Food bar, children''s club, theme bars, night club bar, wellness and spa center spreading on 1.700 square meters and 10 multi-purpose halls, the largest one has a seating capacity for 650 people.
