In August, Mozart’s three Da Ponte operas - "Le Nozze di Figaro", "Cosi fan tutte" and "Don Giovanni" - can be enjoyed at Schönbrunn Palace Theater. Schönbrunn Palace - Musik Theater Schönbrunn - Schönbrunn Palace
Love, fidelity, deceit and all the entanglements of the emotions are an important component of Mozart’s musical universe. In particular, his collaboration with the librettist Lorenzo da Ponte resulted in three spectacular operas that set the direction for the future of the genre.
All three operas will be offered in the Schönbrunn Palace Theater, the oldest usable Rococo theater in Vienna: Le Nozze di Figaro (6 to 9 August), Don Giovanni (15 to 21 August) and Cosi fan tutte (28 to 31 August). It is a special pleasure to be able to experience these works in the intimate setting of the little theater.
The first-class musical arrangement is provided by a young ensemble of students from the Institute for Singing and Music Theater of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna together with the Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra Vienna. All three operas will be performed in a version for chamber opera.
