Besides being one of the most renowned D.O. in Spain, Penedès is the most visited wine route and one of the routes with the highest number of wineries (75 in total).
In the heart of the region, Vilafranca del Penedès is a small town that for centuries has focused its activity on the wine making. It is home of the VINSEUM Exhibition Hall, a museum dedicated to the culture of wine in Catalunya. The center is being enlarged and the equipments improved to offer a space of 500 m2 of intense cultural activity and tourism for all ages inviting the visitor to explore the world of wines. You will find the answer to many questions such as: What’s in a glass of wine? How to get a good crop of grapes? How to know when the wine can leave the cellar? Is the work at the vineyard a matter of science or just an art?
VINSEUM can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday and the visit takes 1h30.
