New $568m Hotel Development for Perth, Western Australia
James Packer's Crown Limited has announced the development of a new "six star luxury hotel" to be known as Crown Towers Perth. The new 500-room property will expand the existing offerings at the Burswood Entertainment Complex, with the total investment in the project (including land) valued at A$568 million (approx £368 million). It will connect to the existing Burswood Entertainment Complex and include conference facilities, retail and restaurants and an expansion of the new luxury pool complex. Upon completion Crown Towers Perth will be the WA capital's largest hotel. Construction will commence early 2013, with an expected 2016 opening date.
